So sorry this museum was closed for re-installation

Let's jut say they know how to use the waterfront

designed by Renzo Piano who also designed 

the Whitney Museum of American Art in NYC, 

 the Centre Pompidou Museum in Paris, as well as 

the Shard Hotel in London. 

All of which we have experienced in person

Norwegian artist, Munch, is famous for

THE SCREAM 1893

So happy that we had the opportunity to see this 

painting in person

We have always wondered about the meaning behind this painting, 

this is Munch's own description

Munch also is famous for painting

MADONNA 1894

which created quite a conflict for its evocative nature

many of his paintings are dark and relate to death, anger 

& conflict, but let's remember he was living during the WWI and WWII, so it seems reasonable that much of his life was during major conflict in the world. 

Let's only hope that this does not translate into our current 

world and national conditions.

1952 Winter Olympics 

as well as 4 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships

and 32 FIS Ski Jumping World Championships

which resides in Frogner Park, Oslo, Norway

along with 250 other sculptures he donated to the city
