Welcome to Prague, 
City of 100 Spires, 
however it seems like 1000

The Architecture of Prague

(founded in the 7th Century)

goes back, back and back and 

on, on and on

Municipal House is home of the 

Prague Symphony 

and other Classical Music Concerts 

Dancing House

"Fred & Ginger"

designed by Frank O Gehry (Canadian-American)

along with

Vlado Milunic ( Croatian-Czech)

The Pavilion

in our neighborhood, Vinohrady District,

there is a former market building.

It houses top-quality foreign & Czech design stores, 

a cafe, and on the lower level, 

Albert (the local supermarket)

Old Town astronomical clock 

on the Old Town Hall

depicts a procession of the 12 apostles 

on the hour from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Near Old Town lies this

Jewish Garden Cemetery 13th C.

David Cerny

Czech artist

with intriguing and controversial images.

(the next six images are all David Cerny installations) 

these Bronze Babies

live in Prague and also currently

in our home town of

Palm Springs, CA

in front of the 

Palm Springs Art Museum

the story behind them, with their bar code foreheads 

represents the fact that our lives 

are being digitalized and dehumanized

where locals sell there farm (back yard) to table 

flowers, fruits and vegetables along with

coffee and local foods.

VALIDATE TRAIN TICKET: When you purchase a single use ticket in Europe for local trains/trams/buses, you are REQUIRED to validate the ticket before boarding the train/tram/bus. Most tickets are issued for a specific amount of time, so when the conductor asks to verify your ticket, he approves your ticket based on when you validated it. If your ticket is NOT validated, the ticket is null and void. The FINES are very steep, they usher you off at the next stop and you must pay immediately.  Most of the time there is no-one to check tickets, but don’t be fooled, they show up at random times. So, follow the rules.
