A Day in the Life of
MAVERICK ROVER WORLD
Maverick Rover World, truly is a lifestyle, not a vacation. For us, the unknown is the most exciting part of our adventures. It's a great big world and our goal is to explore as much of it as possible. With respect to destinations, our goal is to retrace our tracks as seldom as possible, so that we can open new doors and meet new people around the globe while experiencing history, art, music and cuisine in various cultures.
Morning: begins with no alarm clock other than a local rooster, a dog or maybe the sound of an early riser's music. Once we are up, be it early for an adventure or late from sleeping in, coffee is always the first item on the agenda. We view our cell phones to check email, FaceBook, Apps such as weather and news sources. Generally a hand full of clothes are laundered and hung on the line.
We are not early risers, so coffee time and a light breakfast at our "home de jour" is usually the tenor. Post breakfast, we spend time organizing our day and contemplate future events of interest in and around our current location.
Mid-day: we are out on the prowl to have lunch at one of our favorite haunts and to explore museums, markets and local vendors. We love to spend time in parks, historic buildings and walk the streets looking for just the right photo. This is the time for seeing, not just looking, so as to capture the essence of the moment.
Another activity we take in regularly is to "listen and not just hear" what fellow travelers have to share with us from their own experiences. Locals also have so much to impart regarding the love of their homeland and culture.
Afternoon: by this time we have a casual glass of wine or a pint of beer and a snack. This is some of our most treasured time, when together, we reflect on the day and also discuss our future travels. It is important to be booked ahead for a minimum of six months in advance with future lodging and transportation. In the case of 2019, we are currently scheduled through the entire year. Additionally, we have a rough game plan in our minds for 2020.

Evening: is when many cities become vibrant with cultural activities. We love to venture out and enjoy the festive nature of people conversing, walking about, dining, drinking, dancing and partying into the night.
Late Evening: is the time for Nook Book reading, writing blogs and journals and working on any transcripts/books we are hoping to publish in the future.

Many of these you will have seen previously, but we just want to share a flavor of places, people, museums, events and stories
we have experienced.
These 9 photos do not include all of the locations we have traveled to, but you can scan through the Travel Log at the end of this Blog to get the complete list of locations we have visited.
